Jasim in a Commercial Executive who is interested in Competitive advantages, Corporate Strategy and Firm Performance in Turbulent Business Environment. He is committed to take Oman to the next level. Jasim is passionate about Business Development, New Technologies, Market Research, Customer Satisfaction, Competitive Intelligence, Winning Strategic Opportunities and Strategy Formulation & Implementation. He is a subject matter expert in Sales, Marketing, Growth Strategy and Business Development with a Significant exposure to Oilfield industry.

Jasim earned BSc in Engineering, MBA, Merit (University of Bedfordshire), MSc Marketing, Merit (University of Leicester) and Post Graduate Certificate, Merit in Business Research Methods (Edinburgh Business School). He has been selected by Oman Government (Royal Court of Diwan) in the National CEO Program, run by IMD Business School.

He worked for international Oilfield companies such Baker Hughes, Mott MacDonald and Weatherford. He also introduced Ulterra Drilling Technologies to Oman and awarded a 15MM USD contract with PDO. He played a critical role in winning a 21MM USD contract for Baker Hughes; and had short term projects in Yemen & Kuwait.

He was seconded to PDO where he built Successful relationships with decision makers, increased market share by 14 points & increased sales by 35%. He worked as a Country Business Development Manager for Baker Hughes and Country Sales & Marketing Manager for Weatherford where he has built competitions & customers’ database, provided high quality market intelligence, identified key business opportunities, and formulated country strategies.

He also worked as a Marketing Consultant for A startup company from Silicon Valley called Tachyus, where Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence & Data Science used to reduce cost by 40% & increase production by 20%

Jasim had worked as Commercial General Manager – Sales & Business Development for United Engineering Services (UES, A member of MB Holding Group). In this role, Jasim had full P&L responsibility, managed a team of 24 employees; & developed the company’s Growth Strategy.

Jasim has a blend of experience in various Industries such as Oilfield, Manufacturing, Consultancy, Software, Representation and Waste Management.

Jasim is member in The Strategic Management Society (SMS) with an interest in Competitive advantages, Corporate Strategy & Firm Performance in Turbulent Business Environment.

Jasim is member in Academy of Management (AOM) with an interest Research Methods, Social Issues in Management and Strategic Management .
